I have a log stump that I want to make a table out of. I stripped off the bark and sanded smooth. Ive had it outside in the moist air but it felt dry to the touch. I stained it with a semi gloss for the natural wood shine. It looked great, but after a few days it started to turn black and have rough crystalization on it. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

It should be stripped and allowed to dry for a year in dry conditions.

Wow, look at all these misleading anwesrs from top contributors no less. You can remove bad marks off your credit 2 ways (accurate or inaccurate):#1 You can negotiate the removal of a bad mark with the original creditor. Not all creditors will do this. If you owe money, you can negotiate to pay if off and upon final payment the creditor agrees to remove the bad mark from your credit. This usually only works if you still owe money and you can pay them off.#2 You can dispute any item on your credit report to the credit bureaus. And yes it can be accurate. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) allows every consumer the right to ask for an investigation of any item reporting. This means the credit bureaus must investigate the item. If a creditor verifies that it is yours it will stay on your credit report. If they don't verify it for a number of reasons, paid off, not in system or human error, it will be removed from your credit.Don't let anyone tell you can't repair your credit, I've seen it done thousands of time. 10 years in the business.
